When we sat down and went through our photo album of Iris Hills we noticed a trending theme. Our library favorites were stacked high of photos taken by Ludington native, Ellen Knudsen. Her signature style creates visual media that connects people with their lives and connects their lives with the world. She could photograph Iris Hills a thousand times and never reproduce a single image. Ellen has a way of capturing photos that make you feel like you’re in the moment.
Ellen studied Television and Digital Media Production at Ferris State University . She prides herself on being a “Lifestyle/Portrait Photographer.”
As the story goes, the spring showers brought May flowers, the days grew longer and it wasn’t long before we had the opportunity to take a step back and admire our surroundings. The grounds look vibrant, the plants vivacious and the smell of Iris’s accompanied by the Lake Michigan breeze make you close your eyes as your senses flood with euphoria only native to Pure Ludington.
That only meant one thing…. It was wedding season.
